A SUMMARY
THE VISITATION OF GOD TO HIS CHURCH
God is manifesting His power in so many places these days as He
prepares His
Bride for the day of His appearing. We have seen His work all
over Argentina, in
Uruguay, in Atlanta, in Taiwan and in England in recent months.
It surely is a move
of His Holy Spirit, the immensity of which the world has not
experienced since the
beginning of this century. Now it seems that He has chosen to
manifest His power,
glory and grace in a way our own generation has never known.
IN ARGENTINA
God's workings have been gracious and sovereign all over
Argentina - in Buenos
Aires, Mar del Plata, Cordoba, Tucuman and other places - as He
has been visiting
His people for more than a year now with ever-increasing waves of
His power, love
and mercy. There are so many testimonies of the many who have met
with God and
experienced His power, fire, cleansing and deliverance in their
lives. So many have
found the "life-ing" power of His blood and His Cross
as He has drawn nigh to show
them the depths of sin and darkness in their own hearts. His
glorious light has
shined in hearts bringing deep conviction of sin and planting the
agonizing cries
and groanings of the Holy Spirit within. And He responds to those
kind of cries!
The things that we have seen these past months have caused us
to declare time and
time again, "Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of
the Lord." His Presence
has been manifested: IN POWER - such a common expression in this
move of God. It
seems that He has chosen to deal with His people in so many ways
while they are flat
on their backs, under His control, under the power of God. WITH
HIS FIRE - so many
have felt the consuming fire of God literally burning within
their beings as He
burns away the roots of sin and uncleanness and destroys their
power. He is
sanctifying His Church and preparing His own for His coming. WITH
HIS HOLINESS -
and ". . .who shall stand when He appeareth? for he is like
a refiner's fire. . .and
he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and
silver, that they may
offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness." (Malachi
3:2-3).
And, Oh, what victory!! Oh, what joy!! Such rejoicing and
laughter when His
people are set free and find forgiveness. There are times when
peals of laughter
arise from several people at a time as they are set free from the
chains and bondage
of sin. Some laugh for hours under the power of God, throughout
the service and on
into the night. Song and praise and rejoicing mark these times -
songs of souls set
free. We are beginning to understand in a new way why the early
disciples were
accused of being full of new wine. We have seen so many during
this time that were
so full of the wine of joy that they had to be literally carried
out of the services
and helped to get to their homes; they WERE drunk with the new
wine.
How many of His children have been restored, released from the
power of sin and
filled with His Holy Spirit. There have been many instances of
different ones
speaking in known languages (unknown to them, of course) such as
English, German and
Taiwanese. Many have been caught away in their spirit to His
world. Some have been
taken to the darkness of the other world, too, as the Holy Spirit
has brought
conviction to their hearts. What terror as some have experienced
the reality of
death and damnation. Then they were brought to the Cross and the
Crucified One to
be uplifted from that place. What tremendous visions have been
seen of His world,
the banqueting table which is already prepared for His own, the
chariots of His
mighty army awaiting the order to go forth, His Cross, the
reality of seeing the
sword in their own hand and plunging it into Jesus' side, the
blood pouring forth
from that side and washing and cleansing within and without.
There have also been
some wonderful healings as God in mercy has touched so many in
their bodies.
