THE 1988 ARGENTINE REVIVAL
MOVE IN THE ATLANTA CHURCH
Here, too, the power of God has been manifested in this same
way, doing its
mighty work in lives for many months now. His light and truth are
taking His people
on into Himself. Service after service, He comes to do His work
in hearts as his
people stand before Him with open faces, bringing to light the
deep, hidden truths
of their hearts.
Sometimes as His power sweeps over the congregation, barely
anyone is left
standing. Such cries are uplifted as the spirit of conviction
descends upon one
after another. So many are being delivered from life-long
bondages of pride, fears,
bitterness, uncleanness, drugs, condemnation, unbelief, etc. -
the list is endless!
Jesus surely is going to have a holy people when He comes again
for His church. How
we marvel as wave after wave of His power, fire, glory and
Presence flows over His
people.
OUR TRIP TO THE ATLANTA CONFERENCE
So in this way we got to the year 1987. We survived! But the
time came
when God in His wisdom, patience and grace upon our lives
permitted us to
travel to the States where we attended the conference that took
place in the
church in Atlanta. I believe that the first glimpse of what God
was doing was
really a shock to us - a rather great shock! But there was a cry
in our
hearts, and as we saw what God was producing in that congregation
and saw the
changes - the cries, the fire and the power of God moving in
holiness - we
knew in our hearts that this was the answer of God for our own
work and for
our own lives.
During those days, God also dealt with our own lives and our
hearts were
open, embracing and responding to what God was saying. This fire
also entered
and worked in us, causing us to participate of the firstfruits of
what He was
going to do afterwards in place where He had sent us. We
certainly left the
Atlanta conference with a tremendous impact upon us. I believe it
was the
answer to cries of many years that we had uplifted before the
Lord without
knowing precisely why we cried. At last God responded.
